I Attempted To Lose Myself Again

We've reached a mid point both in this year's SOS Mix-Tapes and Summer herself. I'd normally take this time to reflect on the previous weeks; what I have or have not accomplished. Perhaps I might begin to let my mind wander to the days yet to come. All the possibilities of things I could be or do. But the truth is I'd much prefer to experience this moment for what it truly is. The here and now.

Re-Learn the Things That You Love

When I was a child I would stay outside playing from sun up to sun down. As an adult I spend most of my free time recuperating from work and other such nonsense. I went for a run the other day for the first time in a long time and it felt incredible. Remember when running wasn't a chore? Remember when it was freedom? I'd really like to get into that mindset again. Who's up for a game of freeze tag?

One thing I miss about living back east is the Summer rain. There's something so refreshing about a sudden downpour on a hot day. That doesn't happen in my part of California too often.
